Our History – Progress That Connects

1968

Founding of ASTI Foundry Equipment GmbH by Arno Stier in Mauer near Heidelberg.

1975

Production of the first casting screens.

1980

Generational change: Gunter, Michaela, and Arwed Stier take over the family business.

1987

Introduction of the first IT system: Order management with green text on a black screen.

1988

Gunter Stier and Michaela Kasselmann continue running the business.

1995

First video-supported filter trials in aluminum casting.

2000

Certification according to DIN ISO 9001:2000.

2002

Expansion to 1,300 sqm of production space and 1,200 sqm of storage area.

2003

Gunter Stier takes over sole management.

2005

Expansion of services to include engineering.

2021

Generational change: Tanja Stier takes over management.

2022

Technology initiative: Expansion into 3D printing, CNC technology, and in-house tool production.
